Hill Engineering ships 3 Flying Hydraulic Press and Die Cutoff Systems

Hill Engineering / Formtek, Inc has recently shipped three flying, hydraulic press / die cutoff systems to a tier two automotive facility in the Midwest (United States).

The dies are designed to cutoff  automotive seat frame sections that were roll formed and welded.
In addition to the cutoff process, the systems form tabs with a trailing hydraulic form station, thus eliminating costly secondary operations.

Hill Engineering / Formtek, Inc's quick change cutting insert design minimize changeover time, and allow any of the three dies to be used on any of the six separate profiles that this project is comprised of.

Working with the customer, and the design of the parts Hill Engineering / Formtek designed the compact Press / Die systems so they can easily be re-tooled at a minimal cost after this current program ends and used for future projects.

Let Hill Engineering / Formtek, Inc's 60 plus years of experience in the roll forming industry benefit you.

Raft Set for QVW - Style Yoder Roll Forming Machine

Yoder has recently supplied a domestic flux cored weld wire manufacturer with a pull through raft set version of the QVW-150 mill. This specialized QVW-150 mill will replace a competitor's pull through machine, while adding the benefits of interchangeable tooling with their existing Yoder M-1½ machines and greater vertical adjustment for more regrinds between tooling replacements. In addition, they will experience significantly improved changeover between sizes thanks to the cantilevered tooling arrangement, coupled with single-point adjustment on all vertical and horizontal forming stands.
