Yoder recently supplied a tube mill for mechanical and
structural tubing. The mill has a
capacity of 5” OD, ¼” maximum wall thickness, and can re-shape up to 4” square
or 2” x 6” rectangle. The system
includes Yoder’s latest design of weld box, which is a 5-roll arrangement for
larger products and 4-rolls for smaller diameters. Additionally, the system includes the WH-350-RS
reshaping stands, which can reshape up to 4” (101.6 mm) square, rectangles up
to 6” (152.4) wide and as small as 2” (50.8 mm) in the horizontal and vertical
axes, for materials up to 0.250” (6.35
mm) thickness. The reshaping stand has
been designed so it may be retrofitted on any mill that makes up to 5” (127 mm)
round, and can directly replace existing Yoder W-35 and WH-350 Sizing
Stands.
In addition to the mill mechanicals, Yoder provided the
general engineering for the project, providing foundations and arrangement for
the coil handling, welding and cutoff equipment for planning of the customer’s Greenfield
site.
