Engineering of Carol Stream, IL, a member of the Formtek Group, has supplied an
OEM Roll Forming Manufacture with a flying slugless panel cutoff die and HAP 30
ton bladder style air press. The air press was shipped complete with press
rails, back stop return plate and wired terminal box to be incorporated into a
line they are providing for their customer with open loop measuring. The
customer had multiple part widths that had to run, but because of the part
configurations they could not be run as a center or edge constant. So
engineering team at Hill designed slugless die was designed to handle multiple
part width configurations with almost no changeovers required.
With
Hill Engineering’s long history in design and innovations the initial system
was designed to be flexible so to maximize the customers initial capital expenditures
so future products to run on the line.
